A note from NAR Governmental Affairs Team

NAR has been pushing for RESPA reform for a number of years. We believe it is vitally important that the homebuyer understand exactly what they are signing, what their options are, what they are obligated to, and that a simplified document is necessary to achieve this. We expect the new RESPA proposal to be published next week (March 4) and we will review it thoroughly to ensure that it is clear and that it benefits consumers.
