Political Coordinator Program
The Tennessee Association of REALTORS® Political Coordinator Program is designed to inform and mobilize key members of TAR who share a personal relationship with members of the Tennessee General Assembly. These volunteers play a crucial role in the success of TAR's Governmental Affairs grassroots program. Political Coordinators serve as the primary spokespersons for TAR's public policy priorities.
There is one Political Coordinator for each member of the General Assembly; one assigned to each of the 33 Senators, and one assigned to each of the 99 Representatives. Each Political Coordinator organizes a Contact Team made up of at least one additional REALTOR® to assist in this program. Political Coordinators are appointed by the TAR President, in consultation with the President-elect, and serve for the duration of that General Assembly (i.e., two years).
The Grassroots Subcommittee, a standing subcommittee of the Governmental Affairs Committee, conducts oversight for the program.
